DJ Mourad (Gothenburg, Sweden)

DJ Mourad a veteran producer and DJ has emerged as a serious force within Detroit Techno circles despite living in Sweden. The connection between Northern Europe, especially Scandinavia and Motor City techno is strong and growing and Mourad epitomizes its strength and growth. Think modern Hi tech Soul and imagine future funk and you start to hear the sounds, see the colors and feel the vibes that flow from Mourad's production.

Born and raised in Tunis, Tunisia, Mourad began DJing in the mid-1980s. Known for his diverse blend of Detroit Techno, Deep House (with elements of soul, funk and jazz), he has played throughout Europe and Asia – alongside people like Larry Heard, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Derrick May, Juan Atkins & Alexi Delano, to name a few. His productions have been released on labels such as Accelerator, Lace Recordings, Wallshaker Music, Soul People Music, G-Force Records, and many more.
